"My daughter, Sophia, took piano lessons with Shiva for about 2 years. When she found out that her dear piano teacher was relocating to Vancouver, she got very upset as she truly loved her piano lessons and was eager to keep on learning from a teacher that she loved and respected.
As a piano learner's mom, I would like to tell other moms and dads who are looking for piano teachers for their children how excellent of a teacher Shiva is. She is very responsible, always encouraging, and exercising the right amount of discipline in her lessons to ensure the success of her students. I frequently sat through my daughter's lessons and was impressed by Shiva's teaching skills and sense of responsibility. I am very satisfied with her teaching as my daughter improved and learned tremendously in a very short amount of time. She was a complete beginner when she first started, but, after two years of learning from Shiva, she reached level 5 RCM and received an award for one of her performances at 2014 Calgary Kiwanis Music Festival. Shiva didn't only teach her how to play the piano properly. She also taught her how to love and appreciate music, which will serve my daughter well throughout the rest of her life".
"Shiva is a wonderful, inspiring and caring teacher. My daughter, Chloe, started with her when she was 7 years old. Right now Chloe is 12 years old and is finishing her level 9 RCM. I can't believe that six years has passed by so quickly! Thank you so much for your dedication and enriching Chloe's life with the joy of music. Your patience, enthusiasm and love of music is contagious and we will always be grateful for the lessons you taught to each of us.
Chloe has learned so much from your lessons, and the technique, skill and messages she received during your piano lessons will help her through all her life. It is so nice to have someone like you as Chloe's teacher, someone with such commitment and passion for their work. Chloe absolutely loved her piano lessons and always looked forward to them. Your patience and easy going style during lessons has motivated Chloe to keep learning, and I believe this is what makes you so special as a piano teacher and as a person. Shiva always explains how to practice the piano the right way: 5 times right hand, 5 times left hand, and 10 times hands together ----- Im so impressed by her teaching style!
We have enjoyed the classes and recitals, and Chloe is keen on furthering her education in piano. I still remember the night before the Kiwanis Music Festival: You spent extra time with Chloe to make sure her performance was perfect. As a result, she won an award! Your encouragement and lessons had paid off! You are truly the best, Shiva! Chloe has been lucky to have had you as her piano teacher. I'm positive she will remember you for the rest of the life. We are so sad to find out that you will be moving to Vancouver to start your new life, but wherever you go, you will be blessed. We can't thank you enough for all the support and kindness you have given to our daughter. You are a wonderful, inspiring and caring teacher! We will miss you. Good luck with all your future endeavours".
